Glass Dance (2015)

Glass Dance was presented at the close of the February 2015 Moving Stories Project residency at Emily Carr University of Art & Design's Interactions Digital Studios and was produced as a collaboration between Pepper's Ghost, Emily Carr University of Art & Design's S3D Research Centre and Simon Fraser University's School for Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT). In this performance, the movements of each of the 3 dancers plays a different role in constructing the image of the glass-bodied avatar projected on the screen behind them.

Glass Dance was performed in the S3D Centre's motion capture studio and was created using real-time motion capture and the Unreal 4 game engine. The music for the piece was performed live in the studio during the performance.
